AI Programmer
Responsibilities
- Develop custom AI behaviors
- Develop and extend AI sensory systems
- Develop and extend motion control and navigation systems
- Develop and extend development tools to provide fine control of AI characters
Qualifications
- 3+ year experience
- Experience with animation and physics systems
- Experience diagnosing and addressing performance problems related to AI
- Experience with AI middleware packages is a plus but not required
- Capable of contributing to overall product vision and design
- Strong understanding of C++ and object-oriented design principles

Tools Programmer
The Tools Programmer works on the technology team that provides tools and pipeline components for the entire studio. Tools engineers work closely with content creators to deliver them required functionality and improve their workflows.
Responsibilities
- 2D and 3D GUI tools for use by artists and designers
- Exporters, plug-ins and pipelines out of modeling and animations packages
- Data packaging and format optimizations for the runtime
- Quick iteration tools for previewing results on game consoles
- Asset management and team collaboration systems
- Work with content creators to constantly improve workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years industry experience with a concentration on tools
- Commercial GUI programming using C++
- Strong 3D background and experience with 3D authoring tools and export pipelines
- Solid software engineering skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Preference to applicants with
- Maya plug-in and MEL experience
- Understanding of shading languages
- Experience with scripting languages such as Lua or Python

Graphics Programmer
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, write and implement code
- Interact closely with designers, artists, and animators to achieve the vision of the game.
- Assist in resolving complex technical issues
- Research and develop cutting edge rendering technology
Qualifications
- 4+ years experience writing graphics code
- Experience in 3D graphics programming (Shaders, Lighting Models, Visibility)
- Capable of contributing to overall product vision and design
- Strong understanding of C++ and object-oriented design principles
- Good interpersonal and communications skills

Character Modeler
Responsibilities
- Produces key art content that sets a visual benchmark, and can be relied upon to solve the most challenging CG production problems
- Assists in defining the techniques used to ensure the delivery of AAA quality models, including workflow efficiency tools, evaluation of software and new technologies, and the solving of technical production issues as needed
- Expected to assist in training and mentoring of other artists in the modeling department
- Reports to Lead Character Modeler during a project
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a character modeler
- A post secondary education in traditional art or classical animation
- 3-5 years experience on AAA console products
- Versed in creating Normal Maps
- An eye for detail and style as demonstrated by a top-rate portfolio or demo reel
- Expert knowledge of game development software and techniques (e.g. Maya, Photoshop, Etc…)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience on projects using outsourcing or 3rd party development and gaming experience is a plus
Preference to applicants with
- Shipped title experience
- Experience with 3d Studio Max, Zbrush, or Mudbox
- Familiarity with shader technology

Technical Animator/Rigger
Responsibilities
- Proven ability to deal with both extremely deformable characters and mechanical rigs.
- Produces animation ready character rigs that are stable under a wide range of animation situations.
- Assists in reviewing models for possible problems for rigging and deformation.
- Evaluation of software and new technologies, and the solving of technical production issues as needed.
- Expected to assist in training of animators on best ways to use character rig features.
- Maintain rigs through out production, dealing with model updates, uv changes, rig changes, animation transfers and morph target changes
Qualifications
- Animation and character rigging in Maya
- Experience with Maya referencing based pipeline
- Face rigging (bone based) experience
- Knowledge and use of zooTools character tools
- Mel script creation of tools and scripts for rigging and animation
- Ability to manage and trouble shoot game animation pipelines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Able to work with animators and programmers to troubleshoot and create tools to streamline animation work-flow
- Able to handle and prioritize multiple requests across departments
- Able to creatively solve non-standard character rigging issues
- Prior experience on projects using outsourcing or 3rd party development and gaming experience is a plus
